What is the importance of the teacher reading to the class, as opposed to listening to a story (video, celebrity etc) online?

We understand that teaching can be hard and you need time to take a breather here and there. But you should be reading books. Students watching a book on the screen is no different to them watching a cartoon or video. That's simply not literature!
